Innovation in Motion is an Amsterdam-based startup that develops IoT products for autonomous homes. We do this with a sharp eye for aesthetics and high tech engineering. Our first product Slide allow everyone to automate their existing curtains in just 15 minutes, right from the box and without any additional tools. Slide is currently rolling out to our customers. Customer experience internship

We are looking for a student who wants to help our customers have the best experience possible with our product Slide. In the internship you will gain hands-on knowledge and skills in researching and designing the best customer experience. This includes questions like:

  • What information do people need when they consider buying Slide, and what’s the easiest way to give them the answers?
  • How can we create the best customer experience after people receive the product? What is the right balance between self-service support and the human touch?
  • How can we use data and analytics to improve customer experience and operational efficiency?

On the one hand, you will take the lead in day-to-day customer support (don’t worry – the product team is right behind you to take up advanced technical questions). You’ll help us find the best solutions for our customers as well as understanding customer needs through data analytics. On the other hand, you will have the opportunity to design and implement improvements to customer experience in general – shaping the business processes central to our sales and support funnel.

So, we’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, who can work independently and creatively, and is excited about IoT.

What do we expect of you?

A few basics...

  • You are 3rd year BSc (Applied/HBO or University) or MSc Student, preferably in business administration, marketing, communication or organizational studies
  • You are fluent in Dutch

In terms of skills, you have...

  • Are tech savvy and know your way around computers
  • Can work with (analytical) tools, such as Excel
  • Can showcase critical thinking and have good analytical skills
  • Are comfortable with crunching the numbers

Importantly, as a human being you...

  • Have excellent social skills. You are a pleasant person who can communicate patiently, politely and effectively to customers and your team members
  • Can work in an interdisciplinary team and communicate about your work to our team members
  • Have an independent mindset and are comfortable working autonomously in your role
  • Have a problem-solving mindset and do not shy away from big challenges

  • The perfect internship at the crossroads of communication, marketing and business administration, with an opportunity to design and implement our customer experience processes
  • €400, - monthly internship compensation
  • An internship position of 3 and 6 months initially, with opportunities to stay afterwards
  • We provide the opportunity to combine the internship with your thesis research
  • The position is available for a minimum of 16 hours per week, but more is always possible
